After running for a few days i found that there is a groaning noise which happens while releasing the brakes at low speed.
Brake caliper guide pin rubber top or bottom.
On the honda the caliper bolt with the bushing goes on the bottom.
Nothing to worry about as long as you don t mix them up.
The caliper should only go together one way.
And in my altima s front right brake caliper the top right pin does not have any rubber bush only the bottom one has it.
So i decided to go without the rubber bush and installed everything.

On my 2001 civic i believe that this pin goes in the bottom.
When you brake hard the metal pin bears the force of the brake drag while the other one helps keep the caliper lined up with the hub.

There is a rubber piece in the caliper on both of mine and sometimes the rubber comes off with the pin and sometimes it doesn t.
